Icon has taken Phnom Penh by storm!
there are about 15 neighborhood friends who know her by name. i think they could care less about Tara and me, but Icon is a good conversation starter. she is incredibly uninterested in the Cambodian people, which is kind of embarrassing at times, but she is warming up to those whom she sees each day.
we walk her with a couple of biodegradable poop bags and a large stick to ward off uncouth street dogs. shes great crossing the busy thoroughfares and hasnt eaten nearly as many things off the street as we thought she would... (however, over the course of 3 days last week, she ate chocolate, nicotine gum AND coffee grounds.)
she has been getting lots of pets from her 3 mamas:
but she mostly just likes to chill on the bed in the air conditioning....
or directly under the ceiling fan in the living room.
shes right -- its H-O-T.
here are Tara and Icon walking in the park in front of Independence Monument, which is the central traffic circle in the city, and within walking distance from our house (although Icon prefers to ride there in a tuktuk):

i think Tara's panting, too, but i could be mistaken...
